Woohoo!

I would like to start this post letting you all know TODAY IS MY LAST DAY OF CLASSES!!

Now, granted I will be back next week for finals...although I only have one test so thats ok :)
I also have student teaching next semester, but I am so beyond excited for that so it doesn't even count as school

But can I tell you all a secret?
I love school. I mean seriously love it. love classes. love studying. love school supplies. love homework.
Ok, I know that is beyond nerdy, but it is so true :)

Good thing I plan on becoming a teacher!

So since today is my last day of classes, I am being very lazy with my post today!

I do need YOUR help though!!!!
I need some suggestions on new music for working out!
I loved Jessica's list over at Lovely Little Things!
But I want some more suggestions!
Also, I need suggestions for great Christian bands...I am so out of the Christtian music loop, and I would love to find some suggestions!
Thanks ya'll! and Have an absolutely amazing weekend!!!

The Light at the End of the Tunnel

Normally, I would love to be doing a Pinterest post today, but unfortunately my crazy schedule hasn't allowed me to do that...or even get on pinterest in like a week! (crazy, huh?!)
Instead, I have been a good student most all of the time!
I encourage you all to go check out The Vintage Apple , and link up with her for Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesdays!

In my crazy little word, I have been bombarded with presentations, last minute papers, reading non-stop, and turning in my portfolio!
I was able to check a lot off of my to-do list this afternoon so I feel so much lighter!
I also was able to comfirm my summer job so I don't have to worry about freaking out at the last minute.

I would also love to give a HUGE shoutout to the boy's golf team here at Carroll College for winning the Conference Championship today!
These boys have worked so hard all season, and they really deserve this win!
I will be rooting for them at Nationals next month in Oregon!!

Because I have been a slacker lately, I decided to go ahead and do a Book Spotlight post tomorrow (since I missed it on Saturday)
so please check back tomorrow for that :)

I hope you all have an absolutely amazing day!
I will be spending the day with this sweet little bugger! Nothing gets better than that

Proceed with Caution

If you have a queezy stomach or are a member of PETA, you may want to skip this post!
This weekend my family and I took off for a ranch about 20 miles outside of town to go Gopher Hunting!
Now before you get all upset, you have to realize that gophers are a huge nuisance to ranches. Their holes cause horses and cattle to fall and break lets, and then they have to be put down. So killing gophers is a good thing!
(Or maybe that is just what I have to tell myself to get through!)

As we were driving there, my little sister seemed to sum up the day: "There is nothing like killing animals to bring a family together!
Here are some pics for the day!

This is what we saw when we drove up to the ranch. My uncle and cousins were shooting away!

My dad had barely stopped the car before he whipped out his gun and started shooting! It is easier to shoot out of the car because you can steady the gun on the windows!

My little sis taking a shot. She is a dead-eye. I think she hit every one she shot at!

Montana is BEAUTIFUL :)

my other sister with her kill :)

All in all, we had a great day! It was amazing 80 degree weather with clear blue skies!
It was a true Montana day!
Have a great Tuesday!

DIY Hair Clips

Hi Ya'll
I hope you had an amazing weekend!
I know I did :) I attended a Father/Daughter Banquet at my church on Saturday night.
My mom is an event planner, and she did the entire event for 135 girls and dads! It was so much fund and a great tradition at our church. I agreed to make hair bows for all the girls...which came out to 75 girls!
I found this amazing tutorial at The House of Smith Blog!
I highly recommend you go and check it out! I found the project to be soo easy!

These are how they turned out! Cute, huh?
I made them to match the theme of the dance, and I think they turned out darling if I do say so myself!
The best part was coming into church Sunday morning, and all the little girls had them in their hair. I saw at least 20 of them that did!
This made my day :)

So, I made a few changes to the tutorial. First off, I bought quarter squares from Walmart for about $1 each. I also just bought some buttons from Walmart to use in the center...this looked really cute! I bought some hair clips in the hair department for a couple of dollars. Just use the metal clips that are used in beauty shops.
I promise any little girl will absolutely love these!
So go check out the tutorial, and tell me if you get a chance to make them! I would love to see them!

Better late than Never

I win slacker of the year award!
I have been so ridiculously busy that I didn't get a chance to post yesterday!
We had an amazing father-daughter banquet at my church last night which consumed my last couple of days. I made about 75 hair bows for the girls attending!
The hair bows were an absolute success, and the whole night was amazing!
It was great to spend the night with my dad and sisters!
They did a fashion show and my little sisters and dad looked great :)

So here is my Saturday Spotlight!!
Today I am highlighting another amazing series!
Drum Roll, Please

This is the "It Girl" Series by Cecily Von Ziegesar
There are 9 books in all, and this is a spin-off of the Gossip Girl series that inspired the tv show on the CW.

I will warn you ahead of time: The Gossip Girls novel series is extremely different than the Gossip Girl TV show. I have to admit I love both of them; they are just different.

Anyways...back to this series. These books focus on Jenny Humphrey who starts at a boarding school, Waverly Academy.
In basic New York fashion, it is all about the clothes you wear, the people you know, and they parites you go to. When Jenny gets to the school, she immediately falls for Easy Walsh, who has a girlfriend, Southern Belle Callie. Callie and her two best friends, Tinsley and Brett, make up the power trio at the school. There is tons of drama, girl fights, boyfriends, break-ups, parties, detentions, and even a few expolsions.
This series is fun, entertaining, and totally a chic flick!
If you enjoy the Gossip Girl series on TV or any sort of chic flick, I would without a doubt recommend this series to you!
I couldn't put it down when I was reading it.

Ok, I just realized that I look like a very immature, high school girl if you look at my two book posts. Aren't I suppose to be an English major? You probably wonder where my sophisticated, classical books are. Well, as much as I enjoy those, I want to provide you with reviews of books that I enjoy reading for fun.
Like I have said before, I am a real sucker for young adult literature; I guess I am still a teenager at heart!

Hope you all have an absolutely amazing Sunday!

High Five For Friday

I apologize for not making a blog post yesterday. Between youth group, papers, and babysitting I was up to my head in to-do lists this week!
But it turned out to be a great week with absolutely beautiful weather! Here in Montana we don't take that for granted because you never know when it will change. One day a sunburn, and the next you get frostbite!

I am working on becoming more organized so I don't have to give up blogging when I get busy! Thanks to Jessica @ Lovely Little Things, I have inspiration for some organization! :)

Today I am linking up with Lauren for High Five for Friday!

So Here are my Top Five for the Week!

ONE
I got to have lunch with this amazing little guy :) I watch him every Wednesday afternoon for a couple of hours. Since it was gorgeous out on Wednesday, we were able to hit up the park for lunch!

TWO
I may be a bit biased, but I think that my dog is the cutest thing in the whole world. Right now my older sister's black lab, Cori, is staying with us. Bella and Cori have become best friends. I caught them playing tug-a-war earlier. But they were absolutely pathetic at playing it. They didn't make a noise the entire time and pretty much just stood there. It made me laugh :)

THREE
We had Minute to win it games at youth group this week. It was an absolute blast. Towards the end of the year, we alternate weeks of Bible Study and weeks of games. This is just to help the kids stay engaged and give them great opportunities to invite their friends!
Here are a couple of pictures from the night :)

FOUR
I am sooo close to graduating :) Only two more weeks of school and then finals. In those two weeks, I have to write two papers and present one story to the class. I can see an end in sight!

FIVE
We are having a Father/Daughter Banquet at Church on Saturday, and I am soo excited. My mom is the event planner so I will make sure and have lots of pictures :) I also am in charge of making 60 hair bows for the little girls coming!
Now I realize this really isn't something that has happened this week, but I am so excited for it that I have to add it to the list!

I hope you have an amazing weekend! Check back tomorrow for the Saturday Spotlight! I am really excited to share my latest read with all of you guys :)
Also make sure and check out Lauren's blog as well as the others who have linked up to High Five for Friday!

XO,
